STAFFORD COUNTY VIRGINIA / UNION ARMY Winter CampsitesĀ  – Recovered in 1974 – Union Brass Belt Keeper with some organic material stuck beneath one of the pressed ends.
A Dug Civil War Relic Union Army Brass Belt Keeper recovered in 1974 from a Stafford Co. VA Federal Winter Camp site.
This artifact comes from the collection of William Reger who lived in Berks County, Pennsylvania and relic hunted at a variety of sites from the late-1950s to the mid-1970s. Reger carefully identified his artifacts with typed labels. The original type-writer typed tag in the second photo is not included but was Reger’s identification, and a provenance letter
    will be
included. The third image shows how these keepers were used on the enlisted man’s belt and is not an item that is included in this listing.
