The maximum
practical
working length of this cord is 7 feet. Relaxed the coiled portion of this cord is about 18 to 20 inches long,
NOT 12 FEET
. Add a little more for the uncoiled portion on each end. It is called a 12 foot cord because 12 feet of material goes into the curling machine. This naming scheme is confusing but it’s the standard.
